As an interior designer and at the same time photographer I stage every corner of a room like on a photo. Functionality, aesthetics and narration are combined in my work to invite the visitor to view and explore. In doing this, my admiration for the seminal quality of much antique furniture plays an important role. I use the great possibilities offered by a vintage piece not just to restore it, but to reconceptualize it by turning its functionality upside down, combining it with more contemporary objects or manipulating it with foreign, eye-catching material.
In both professions - as a photographer and interior/set designer - I work for movie productions, international interior design magazines, advertising agencies, hotels and art galleries.
