I am an independent Italian architecture and interior photographer born in Padua (Italy), in 1987. I'm graduated in Architecture with two Masters, and I am mainly based between Berlin, Venice and Beirut.

Besides architecture photography my main focuses are social reportage, documentary and travel photography. Thanks also to my studies and the subsequent experience as an independent photographer, over the years I have developed a very personal visual language. I always paid particular attention to contemporary social and urban themes, trying to combine them in my photographic reportages. In fact, I am often involved in projects that allow me to deepen the connection between human existence and built space, showing at the same time aspects of transience and revealing the different forms in which individuals, communities and societies create and interact with the physical space in which they live. Hence my commitment to telling issues related to the phenomenon of modern human migrations.

I count on several collaborations with national and international newspapers, as well as numerous publications related to each edition of the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Venice Art Biennale, in which I regularly photograph both for international artists, architects and architecture firms.

My documentary project "Zaïm" has been awarded Second Place at the Sony World Photography Awards 2021, Landscape category https://www.worldphoto.org/sony-world-photography-awards/winners-galleries/2021/professional/finalist-za%C3%AFm-andrea-ferro

I strongly believe that photography gives us a great chance to produce knowledge and understand the complexity of today’s world, while at the same time better understanding others and ourselves.
